Joelle Marx, Boston Co-President
Joelle is a Senior Associate at HarbourVest Partners on the direct investments team. Prior to HarbourVest, Joelle worked at Wavecrest Growth Partners in Boston and started her career in investment banking at R.W. Baird in Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from Colgate University with a B.A. in International Relations and minors in Economics and Middle Eastern Studies. In her free time, Joelle enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurant and spending time with family & friends.
bethany Ko, Boston Co-President
Bethany is currently an Associate at Blackstone Life Sciences, where she focuses on investments in the therapeutic and medtech space. Prior to joining Blackstone, Bethany was an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs in the Healthcare Investment Banking group in New York. She graduated from University of Chicago in 2020 with a B.A. in Biological Sciences. In her spare time, Bethany enjoys sunny walks, trying new restaurants, and spending time by the water.
Annie petrino, Co-VP Membership
Annie Petrino is currently a Senior Associate at HarbourVest Partners. She joined HarbourVest Partners in 2021 and focuses on sourcing, reviewing, executing, and monitoring secondary private equity opportunities, including traditional and complex transactions. Previously, Annie was an investment banking analyst at BofA Securities in the real estate, gaming, and lodging group and completed over $51 billion of equity capital markets, debt capital markets, leveraged finance, and mergers & acquisitions transactions. Annie received a Bachelor of Arts (with first class honors) in economics from the College of William and Mary / University of St Andrews Joint Degree Program in 2019. In her free time, Annie enjoys spending time outdoors as well as hiking, sailing, and skiing.
Ashley knight, Co-VP Mentorship
Ashley is a Senior Associate at Ara Partners, an industrial decarbonization focused private equity firm. Prior to joining Ara, Ashley served as a Principal on Mercer’s Alternative Investing team in London and New York City. While at Mercer, Ashley also completed a secondment at the World Economic Forum, where she researched global asset owners’ climate-related investment strategies. Prior to joining Mercer, Ashley was an Assistant Vice President at Credit Suisse in Singapore. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College, where she graduated cum laude. She received a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with honors. Ashley holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation. In her free time, Ashley enjoys traveling (visited 90+ countries), golfing and spending as much time as possible with her family in Shelter Island, NY.

In her free time, her favorite activity is sharing a meal with my friends and family at Waffle House. Sydney's go-to order is a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich with hashbrowns covered (+ cheese) and smothered (+ onions).
Grace mayer
Grace is an Associate at Nonantum Capital Partners, a lower middle market private equity firm in Boston. She began her career at Nonantum as the firm’s first Analyst before being promoted to Associate. She graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University in 2022 with a B.S. in Finance and Information Science. In her free time, Grace loves to play tennis, explore new restaurants and workout classes, and attend Broadway shows and live music.

Melika is currently an Analyst at Bain Capital, where she focuses on investments that are uncorrelated with public equities on the Partnership Strategies team. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science, along with minors in Public Policy and Entrepreneurship in 2022. Meghan is an Associate at Bain Capital where she focuses on growth healthcare IT investments as part of the Tech Opportunities fund. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S.E in mechanical engineering and minors in Engineering Entrepreneurship and Mathematics. Outside of work, Meghan enjoys travelling, running along the esplanade, Mediterranean cuisine, horror movies, and spikeball in the Commons.
