Synergist SF | Stanford GSB: Application Bootcamp (Virtual)

Please join Synergist and Genstar Capital to learn about Stanford's MBA Program from Assistant Dean and Director of MBA Admissions and Financial Aid Kirsten Moss, and her colleague Wil Torres, Director of Outreach. Pick up tips, strategies, and best practices to help you put your best self forward in your application, including what Stanford looks for in candidates, the “What Matters Most and Why?” essay, and “Cracking the Interview”. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the GSB experience and admission process.

KIRSTEN MOSS

Kirsten Moss is the Assistant Dean of MBA Admissions and Financial Aid. In this role, she is responsible for managing the recruitment and selection of the MBA class and overseeing the financial aid process. Previously, she served as the Director of MBA Admissions.

Prior to returning to Stanford GSB, Kirsten worked as a consultant for Egon Zehnder, developing tools to assess leadership potential. She also has been an executive coach for senior executives in the technology, private equity, entertainment, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors. Earlier in her career, she was the Director of Career Services and the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at Harvard Business School.

Kirsten has an AB in economics, government, and sociology from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She has a Doctorate of Psychology from William James College where her research examined how to assess transformational leadership during selection interviews.

WIL TORRES

Wil is the director of outreach with Stanford GSB’s MBA Admissions Office. In this role, Wil leads the strategy, coordination, and execution of recruitment efforts for the MBA program. Previously, Wil had a more specific focus leading the office’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, having served as both the assistant director and associate director of outreach, diversity. DEI is a passion area for Wil, and he continues to be actively involved in the DEI space at Stanford.

Wil has an EdM in higher education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a BS in marine biology from UCLA.
